What does becoming
an Associate entail?
Huntn Biz! offers you a unique opportunity
to start your own business that revolves around hunting, fishing
and the outdoors. You probably have a passionate love for these
things and you may wonder if it is legal to do something
that you love and still make it a business. The answer to that
question is a resounding yes!
You should realize however, that you must run your
business like a business and that you must have a profit
motive. This does not mean that you must make a profit every
year in your Huntn.Biz business, but you must comply with IRS
guidelines to be sure that you are in compliance with the law.
Your table of contents sheet lists a section on articles
and publications that relate to running your own business and
taxes. Huntn.Biz does not give tax advice and you must consult
with your own tax advisors to insure that you are in compliance
with local, state, and federal tax laws. These publications and
articles are to serve here as a guide for consideration in these
matters, and may answer some questions that your tax advisor may
have.
The items in the table of contents what are starred
(*) will be included in the Associate Training Manual and all
other articles and publications can be downloaded from the enclosed
Huntn Biz! Plan CD and printed on a PDF (Adobe) format.

How does becoming
an Associate enable me to receive tax benefits?
A Supreme Court Justice- Louise Brandis, said that
there are two tax codes in the nation
one for the informed
and one for the un-informed. It is your responsibility to
become informed and it is our desire to help inform you.
A respected tax attorney and CPA, Mr. Sanford Botkin
has written an excellent article that is included in your associate
training manual. Mr. Botkin suggests that if your tax professional
is un-willing to help you take advantage of the potential tax
savings; that you consider getting a new tax professional. Please
refer to his article titled: Special Tax Report.
Huntn Biz! can be a wonderful business opportunity
in its own right, as you work the business and build your
business. There is no reason that you should not take advantage
of every opportunity that will come to you in the Huntn
Biz!, and potential tax advantages may be a part of that advantage.
Thank you for being part of Huntn Biz!. Together
we can build a company that will change the way that business
is done in the outdoors world, and that change will be for the
better for all of us!
Every outdoorsman has dreamed of making their passion
a business, Now for the first time that dream can be a reality.
Hunt'n Biz! was created to give outdoorsmen (and women) the opportunity
to make hunting, fishing, and outdoor pursuits a legitimate business.
Associates in Hunt'n Biz! have several ways to make money:
1. Personal Sales. See "Associate Training Manual" for
specifics.
2. Bonus "over writes" on all production points of team
members.
a. Subscriber Packages.
b. Catalog Purchases.
c. Hunt booking fees. (See "Associate Training Manual"
for specifics.)
3. Payment for pictures, articles, and video footage used in Hunt'n
Biz! movies, production, television programs and magazine publications.
Section 7 of the Associate Training Manual goes into specifics
of how to set up your business, keep appropriate records, and
establish a profit motive. Once these things are in place associates
should consult with a tax professional to insure compliance with
federal, state, and local tax laws. Tax "evasion" is
illegal. Tax "avoidance" is proper, legal, and just
plain wise. Louis Brandis, a retired Supreme Court Justice said,
"There are two tax codes in America, one for the informed
and one for the uninformed." Hunt'n Biz will help you become
informed about deducting your hunting, fishing and outdoors related
expenses. Let's look at a very conservative hunter (Don Hunter)
and see how the tax laws apply to his owning a hunting-related
business:
Don is married "filling jointly" in
the state of Idaho. His Combined income is $48,000 per year. This
is a 27% Federal Income Tax bracket. Idaho has an 8% Income Tax
bracket, putting Don in a 35% overall Tax Bracket.
Potential Hunting-Related Tax "Write-off":
2,000 miles in the tax year hunting and scouting(x36 cents). =
$720
Hunting equipment and clothes..........................................
.= $500
Hunting licenses..................................................................=
$200
Food.................................................................................
= $300
Camera equipment and film..................................................=
$200
Depreciation of 3,000 boat on 6 year schedule.....................=
$500
Cost to be a subscriber to Hunt'n Biz and associate fee........
= $680
Total............................ = $3,200
$3,200 x 35% income tax bracket means that Don will be able to
deduct $1,220 in taxes- In other words, pocketing $1,220 that
he would otherwise not have had! All because of being an Associate
of hunt'n Biz, and working his business as a business with a profit
motive as outlined in section 7 of the "Associate Training
Manual."
